This vintage Remington Dupont Boy Scout hunting- skinning knife is in good shape for its age. Looks like it is a bench made knife. The leather disc handle is tight with no separations, but t is some discoloration on the finger guard and metal rings of the handle which seems to come off easily. The blade is also tarnished somewhat and one side of the blade has the Boy Scout of America and the emblem which reads be prepared and above the emblem is more lettering, but all I can make out is knife. It is all very faint but the pictures show some of it. I made no effort to clean the knife because of the faint lettering. One side of the tang is stamped Remington Dupont and the other side is stamped RH 50 with Remington usc in a circle and made in USA around the circle. The butt has some heavy use marks on it, but it is still tight. Overall lenght is about 8 1/4 inches with a 4 1 /2 inch blade. The sheath also has and emblem on and as the picture shows it also is very faint. T is a small punched hole in the tip of the sheath above the rivet which at one time probably had a leather thong
