What a pleasure it is to have you view this listing! We are placing for Auction, the chance to own, an Original Designer, Three (3) piece Set of very sought after 'RENOIR'. Our research indicates these piece were Manufactured between 1946 to 1958, (In 1958, the Mark did change). How about some History? Having grown up in Virginia, a State steeped in History, (as many other States are). In Eighth Grade , our History Book was almost Four (4) Inches Thick. Daunting to say the least! Having been through that Class, we will give you the Abbreviated Tutorial of 'Renoir'. In 1946, a man named Jerry Fels, Founded 'RENOIR' in Los Angeles, Ca. He worked with both Copper and other mediums, such as Silver and Enamel. His work was very much appreciated for his eye for the abstract and the applications of his Vision to his Creations. Since he was ahead of his time in so many Design approaches, he probably never even realized the now very widely considered 'Healing Properties' of the base metal itself. All of the items produced/created were Hand-Made and never were considered by Jerry to be in the Realm of Costume Jewelry. This was a serious pursuit and the resulting items are a reflection of just that. 'Art' pieces that stand the 'Test Of Time' are indeed just that, 'ART'! Mr. Fels items are very much, still highly sought after by Jewelry Fans and Collectors to this very day. After many changes in Name and going in a lot of different directions over the years, it all came to a conclusion in 1964. The 'Vision' of Mr. Fels had been brought to fruition and just in time for the wide acceptance from the 'Flower Children' and the rest of the World, for that matter! Okay, Class is over, Thank-Goodness! Let us get to these items, that Mr. Fels has created for us to present to you. This Listing consists of Three (3) Jerry Fels Items, A Cuff Style Bracelet and a matching Pair of Earrings. Classic, for sure! The Earrings measure 1&1/4" Tall by 3/4" (at the Widest). The Cuff Style Bracelet is an average of 1&1/4" Tall and 2&1/2 Across. The Earrings are of the Clip variety and the Cuff Bracelet is flexible to size. What an attractive Set they are, hopefully the pictures we have included, reflect just that. These items are in nice shape for their age and use. You may (& will) have to clean them and the dark areas of discolor are intentionally t, as per Mr. Fels himself, not damage of any sort.
