RENOIR "Le Chapeau Epingle"Pinning Of The Hat" Etching

Sold For:

Sold Date: 07/11/2010
Channel: Online Auction
Source: eBay

This offering is for the second recently acquired restrike of French born Pierre Auguste Renoir's Etching titled, "Le Chapeau Epingle" or "Pinning Of The Hat". I sold a simular item about a month ago. Both came from the same private collector. This restrike appears to be in mint condition and is professionally mounted in a beautiful Victorian style gilded frame. Frame is also in as new condition. Image is produced on what appears to be heavy archival woven art stock and is signed in the lower left hand corner.

Image size: 3 1/8 inches X 4 1/2 inches.

Paper stock size: 4 7/16 inches X 5 11/16 inches and is mounted on top of the surrounding matting.

Frame size: 15 5/8 inches wide X 17 5/8 inches high X 2 3/4 inches deep.

Frame opening: 7 1/4 inches wide X 9 1/4 inches high.

Certificate on rear of frame indicates it is a Restrike and was custom framed by an art supply house for "Art and Artifact" in Culver City,California.

Beyond what I have stated above, I know little else. Please check the pictures I have provided. Didn't get any supporting documents with the item. It is just as I bought it. I can tell you nothing about edition quantities, states, production dates etc. What you see is pretty much what you get. If you have any questions, please use the "Ask Seller" link above. I will do my best to answer.

Please wait for my invoice at sales end.
