This is a very attractive replica Spanish Rapier. It is marked PIC SPAIN on the hilt. I am not sure of its origins or age. I was unable to find a duplicate anyw on the internet. It had imitation rubies on the guard and decorations and designs on the tang.This may have been a wall decoration at some point but I am not sure.The handle appears to be plastic or lucite. The pommel has what i believe is a dragons head. T are some small nicks on the blade edge and it could use a good cleaning and polishing. Otherwise it is a very attractive sword. I had a question about the length and weight of the rapier. I wanted to follow up as i could not respond directly to the parties in question because i had responded previously. The blade is 27 3/4 inches and over all length is 33 1/2 inches. The weight is 8.5 ounces.
