REPRODUCTION ANTIQUE MAHOGANY TELEPHONE REPRODUCTION ANTIQUE MAHOGANY TELEPHONE This modern telephone is a reproduction of a 1920's mahogany telephone Manufactured in a composite material of some sort (resin?), the body of the telephone resembles finest mahogany with inset marquetry floral patterns, bows and swags in contrasting wood. Embossed brass strips add details to each of the four corners. The cradle stand, cradle rest, handset, earpiece and mouthpiece are all made of bronzed metal, whilst the handle itself is of wood. The handset is attached to the body by braided electrical cord. The dial casing and circular finger dial are also of bronzed metal, with numbers in black on an ivory-coloured circular disc beneath the dial. The body stands on four rubber feet. The telephone is in full working order, and reception is loud and clear when connected to a modern telephone system. The dial works perfectly. The phone plug is European style, and an adapter is provided which fits standard UK telephone sockets. This telephone does not have a bell, so it does not ring.
