In 1906 with $375 in savings, Alfred C. Fuller started the Fuller Brush Company. From the beginning, the "door to door" Fuller Brush salesman embodied the ideals of truly personal service and innovative, quality products. Depicted in Red Skelton's 1948 film, "The Fuller Brush Man", and serving as inspiration for Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman", by the 1950's, Fuller Brush sales reached into 80% of American homes. This letter opener, originally produced in brighly colored plastics, was one of Fuller Brushes most delightful of premium gifts given to customers. Today it represents a genuine and important piece of Americana. Cast in the highest-quality zinc with anique finish highlighting fine detail. Nicely packaged in kraft colored box with vintage salesman image and above description on card stock. This entire project was made in the United States, from the casting to packaging, insert, and labeling!
