Up For Auction RARE CARL ZEISS NVA EAST GERMAN 7X40 BINOCULAR Manufacturer: Carl Zeiss Jena DF 7x40 NVA Prism: porro Objective lens diameter: 40 mm Field of view: 148 m Magnification: 7x Exit pupil: 5,7mm Close focus: 5m Weight 1165g These binocular are in good condition! This binocular has a fabric neck strap with eyepiece cover attached. It also has attached lens caps. The "NVA" indicates East German Army (Nationale Volksarmee). Rubber coated and made for the military. The 7x40 was useful to the military because it provided a reasonable compromise between power, low light performance and weight.
