This Japanese lacquered-wood bento box appears to be 50-75 years old, and comes from a restaurant named "Hinode-ya". The three compartments are made to hold a main rice, a main dish, and pickles, and the borrom is made so that it can be nested on top of another box for more secure storage and delivery.
T is no structural damage or cracks, and all of the joins are quite solid, but t are some small dings and chips in the lacquer at the edges as well as an overall sheen of grime and other wear-and-tear. Measures W7 3/4" (197mm) X D6 1/2" (167mm) X H1 3/4" (45mm). This item is set to ship via Air Mail, and should arrive within 7-14 days after being posted. General Note about Shipping: For all our items, we set the shipping according to the fastest and most economical method. Generally, we set it as Air Mail if the shipping charge will be around fifteen dollars or less, and as SAL (economy airmail) if it would be much over fifteen dollars via regular airmail. Nonetheless, we are always happy to change shipping methods if faster (and thus more expensive) or cheaper (and thus slower) shipping is desired. The shipping options available are (from fastest and most expensive to slowest and least expensive): EMS, Air Mail, SAL (economy airmail), Surface. We ship at least once and very often twice a week, and so most of the time items will be in the mail within no more than 7 days after we have received payment. We also always send a brief note informing buyers when their items have shipped. |
