ORIGINAL EMIR mahogany collectors or spice cabinet made in their Bermondsey workshop circa 1930's. Now fully restored in keeping with age. Labelled Emir London.Charming piece of 1930's cabinet makers history. Now oodles original character. Mahogany has been fully restored and oiled so that all the character can be seen. Ideal antique jewelry display item as seen in collector's fairs for necklaces, coins or as a fly fishing cabinet for Hardy's and Farlow's tackle etc. Overall condition is excellent-some wood scuffs, tiny niks which only add to character-wood otherwise in excellent condition with deep patina-the pictures do not do it justification -the slight natural variations in drawer colours give it a very chic appearence and equally it would look great draped amongst high fashion display items. Its a collector's box that oozes charm, character and personality.Would make an excellent large jewelry box if you have lots of jewelry-or spice cabinet -has 4 original rubber feet so can sit on a mahogany/oak side or dressing table in bedroom, lounge, kitchen etc.-ideal gift for anniversary or wife's birthday etc. or husbands collection etc.This is the rare and larger 24 draw collectors cabinet-all cabinet is made with dovetail joints including 24 storage drawers.Size L14" x W9" x H12". Each draw is beautifully hand crafted 1 1/2" height.
