For your consideration is a vintage 1952 Sheaffer Snorkel Statesman fountain pen in Pastel Gray. It has been restored with a new ink sac and new seals, so that it fills correctly. It has been hand-polished and is in excellent condition, with no cracks, nicks, teeth marks, deep scratches, or brassing. This pen is fitted with a 14k gold fill tube. Sheaffer used gold for about the first nine months of production in 1952, and then switched to stainless steel for the remainder of the Snorkel's production lifetime. The Palladium Silver nib writes a Medium-width line. It has been tested and adjusted to ensure that it writes smoothly and with proper ink flow. The imprint is complete and legible, reading "W.A. SHEAFFER PEN CO., FORT MADISON, IOWA, U.S.A. MADE IN U.S.A."This pen is very attractive, and would make a great addition to your collection, or will last for years as a reliable, everyday writer. If you have questions, please feel free to ask. I have tried to provide an accurate description and photos of the pen, and I guarantee that it will fill and write as it was intended.
