You are bidding on a 1958 Philco tube clock radio in excellent condition and completely restored by me, Doctorvoltz, a long-time vintage electronics collector and restorer. This pretty, Barbie Pink radio has gold and ivory accents. As you can see from the pictures the case is near mint and has been carefully Novus buffed to a high gloss. The fiberboard back is complete as well as the paper ID label on the bottomThe radio plays beautifully and has been completely recapped as well as having all out of spec resistors and weak tubes replaced and all switches, contacts and tube sockets cleaned. Then the radio was aligned by signal generator so that it plays perfectly with plenty of selectivity and volume. The electric Telechron clock mechanism has also been disassembled, cleaned, serviced and re-lubed so that it runs smoothly, accurately and quietly. This radio also includes Philco's proprietary "Lullaway" feature. When you turn the radio off from either the "radio alarm" or from the "on" position it does not immediately shut off, but rather takes about a 30 seconds or so to fade out. This was to prevent you from immediately falling asleep again when you wake and shut the alarm off.The radio measures 13" W x 7.5" H x 6" D.
