Up for bids is a beautiful, working, 1927 Atwater Kent, model 33 battery Radio (serial # 2076522). The Radio has been electrically and cosmetically restored to MINT condition. The Radio comes with 6 good tubes. The front panel is in great condition with the origional textured finish. A clear coat has been applied to make it more durable. The cabinet is solid mahogany and is in great condition. It has been refinished with several coats of clear laquer, and has a hand rubbed finish. The Electronics has been thoroughly gone over and restored to original condition. The Radio was tested using an ARBE lll Battery Eliminator Power Supply, an Atwater Kent E-3 Loudspeaker, and a long wire Antenna. The Radio performed beautifully and exhibited good Sensitivity and Selectivity over the Broadcast Band of 550 KHz thru 1500 KHz. This beautiful Radio would be a great addition to any collection and make a great conversation piece. You will be buying a beautiful 84 year old Radio that is ready to use. Atwater Kent Radios were built to last and the model 33 Radio is high on the collectors list. As with all Electronic Equipment of this vintage, This Radio is being sold "as is" with no warranty.
