SET OF SIX

NONSENSE PLATES

You are bidding on a set of SIX "Nonsense Plates" marked Sigma Taste Setter - 501. I believe this series to be from the 1970s and 1980s and no longer available. Each plate measures approx 7 1/2" diameter. All plates are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing etc. EAch plate is a "take off" of botanical names of various flora and fauna. These are hilarious and include the following:

TIGERLILLLIA TERRIBILIS

SHOEBOOTIA UTILIS

MANYPEEPLIA UPSIDOWNIA

PHATTFACIA STUPENDA (MY FAVORITE)

PIGGIWIGGIA PYRAMIDALIS

ENKOOPIA CHICKABIDDIA

What a wonderful and humorous collection. Perfect for an Garden Club gathering. Set out filled with tidbits and watch your guest's amusement as the plates become empty and reveal what is underneath. Great for anyone who loves plants. Especially those who prefer using the Scientific names of plants. Prove that you truly are knowledgeable too! The colors on these plates are wonderful too. My photos actually do not do them justice. All are white porcelain with green rims. I am selling these together to save on shipping. Buy them all at once!

Buyer to pay safe boxed priority shipping on 5 lbs. from zip code 23185. Thanks for looking.
