Rose We have tried to do some research on this sweet little Magic Attic Rose doll since these are the first two we have had in a box. From what we have found, the Magic Attic dolls started in 1994 and were designed by the wonderfully talented Robert Tonner. The Magic Attic dolls are 18 inches tall with all vinyl bodies that are jointed at the neck, arms, and legs. They have a slimmer build than the American Girl dolls. Rose did not come along until 1997 when Georgetown, the original makers of the Magic Attic dolls sold out to the L.L. Knickerbocker Company. Rose featured a new face sculpt by Robert Tonner and along with this new face, also a new book by Sherri Cooper Sinykin titled "Trapped Beyond the Magic Attic” to introduce the lovely Native American Rose character. She has beautiful big brown eyes very dark long hair. We purchased our Rose dolls from a wonderful doll shop whose owner decided it was time to retire and watch the waves roll in on the sandy beaches. The dolls were sold to us as new, and we have not removed them from their boxes or the net from their heads. The dolls come in their original pink boxes with the side handles along with a purple hair brush, a packaged necklace with a key, the Trapped Beyond the Magic Attic book, and instructions for removing the doll from the box.
