Pattern: Retort Brand: Dalzell, Gilmore & Leighton Company Year: 1900 Style: Bowl, berry Reproduced: No A clear large unusually shaped berry bowl in the rare and seldom seen Retort pattern. Introduced in 1900 by Dalzell, Gilmore & Leighton of Findlay, OH. The unusually shaped 12 scalloped bowl is about 3 1/4 inches high and just about 8 7/16 inches in diameter. This could be used for a food mold for aspic or other gelatin dishes. The design is on the outside underneath. It is free of chips and cracks. All of the beads are intact. There are a few teeny no harm teensy rim flakes (very few). There are also a few annealing lines present and are in the making. The glass is clear and is not sick, cloudy, discolored or have chemical deposits. Nice large unusually shaped bowl in a scarce pattern. If you have any questions, please ask.
