Estate necklace from a world traveler and necklace could be from Norway or Switzerland because all of her fine jewelry was purchased somewhere in her travels to those countries. The pearls are just stunning to me and I'm not a professional but they are a very good quality pearl. Maybe Akoya or freshwater but unknown. This is from a fine estate of jewelry where she had the best and quality pieces. This is a 30" double knot strand of pearls with an unusual 14kt yellow gold clasp that is stamped in 2 places along with the designer stamp of "B a dot in between the "G". The clasp is unusual but very nice where the one end is like a key that slides into the other gold end and locks. As you can see the pearls measure 7.51 to 7.91mm and does not graduate. I was able to double the strand around my neck but was a little too tight. But I have an old fat neck and it would be a very nice double strand on someone who has a smaller neck.
