Hello! You are bidding on one of the first Retro, look-like-vintage Barbies to make it on the market...the one that piqued my interest, because I had an original during my adolescence, and which launched my collecting addiction. This brunette bubble-cut Retro Barbie is absolutely beautiful. Her make up is perfect as is her mani-pedi. Body is perfect as well...all limbs move and hold pose. What I noticed about the retros is that they are slimmer than the vintage Barbies and so many of the outfits that fit rather snug fit perfectly on her slimmer frame. In the photo, she is wearing the original #963 Resort Set. I have the original bracelet, which is slightly tarnished, but I've included two brand new exact-copy bracelets made by some very clever woman. The white shorts and hat (hat not seen in picture because it's difficult to wear on her bubble hairdo) are a big dingy and need a washing and/or brightening up. The jacket and top are perfect. Original items include: Striped black andf jersey swimsuit, petticoat and undies (plus pink,mirror, comb and brush) from #921 "Floral Petticoat", #986 red "Sheath Sensation" with hat and gloves, and the #933 Movie Date dress. This collection comprises both original items, retro items and some items made to fit Barbie, the retro Silken Flame dress and Red Flare coat and hat and purse she came in, a collection of both original and retro shoes to make Amalda Marcas proud (some might need a touch of superglue for any splits on top), original and retro gloves, purses. There are various pieces of jewelry, both retro and original and some earrings made for Barbie to prevent green ear. Included, also, is the original #982 Solo in the Spotlight dress, but the rose has opened...perhaps the rose can be replaced with another by someone with sewing ability. It has not lost the glitter over the bodice as most have after years of being pushed up over her breasts. There are two stands. Two made-for Barbie outfits that are complete and just lovely (One is called Day at the Races and I don't know the name of the royal blue outfit), several home-made adorable summer dresses. Also included are two fashion model booklets. There is a cute suitcase like purse, with matching petcarrier and dog. There's a pair of orange slacks, white sleeveless top and scarf. There are three small books from different collections: Racing Program Daily Schedule, How to Sail a Boat, and Come to my Party, which is original and from her Masquarade (#944) The case is almost perfect. There are no splits, the graphics are clean and bright, the hardware has rusted and/or oxidized a bit , but I'm sure there's something on the market to clean that up, the lock is in perfect working order and closes the case securely. The handle is intact and secure. The inside is clean with no splits, two small stain marks on one of the drawers. The drawers are all study and intact and slide in and out easily. Included are all the hangers, plus several hangers for those strapless numbers. There's a plastic zip up clothing bag that contains all kinds of purses, and you will see that, when you slip a hanger in it, it will hang on one of the case racks. There's so much to this collection, I'm sure I have overlooked items in your favor. It doesn't get better than this! It's a great starter set and just in time for Christmas. Shipping and handling to be paid by lucky winner. Preparing for shipping takes great care on the part of the seller, and I believe $15.00 reasonable with the weight of the case, the doll and all it's contents.
