Up for auction is this absolutely terrific pair of vintage, modern, lounge chairs with a fabulous squatty, wide, low profile. At first glance we thought they were patio chairs, as they have solid wrought-iron legs and arms...but with the padded vinyl upholstery over wood frame (like an indoor lounge chair) we're starting to question our initial thought. However, based on the distressing of the iron, these were probably used outdoors at some point (or in a 3-season room). Regardless, they could go either way...we just wouldn't leave them outside unprotected all year in the rain and snow. They're very rugged and well built, each chair weighs 30 pounds. Chair dimensions measure 28 1/2" tall at the back X 21 3/4" wide at the legs (arms add a few more inches) X 27 3/4" deep at the legs. Seat height is 12 1/2" at the rear X 14 3/4" at the front. These are VERY comfortable chairs...and the mottled-green vinyl upholstery has a terrific vellum feel to it. Chairs are in very good overall condition. We're unsure if the upholstery is original. It sure seems so...but at the least, it's an older replacement. Regardless, the vinyl is in excellent, clean condition with insignificant wear...and no repairs. Buttons on seats and backs are tight. The wrought iron has no repairs...and has an older repaint that possesses nice distressing. Chairs were originally white...that, we can surmise. No odd or musty odors...no evidence of water damage to the wood frames or padding. You will not be disappointed, guaranteed...no upsetting condition surprises on your end. We're very serious about grading our pieces, as you collectors/investors deserve...when we say mint, we mean it. Bid with confidence. If we've overlooked anything, please let us know.
