You are bidding on a fabulous Antique/Vintage Swiss cylinder music box. This is a SUPERB high quality Swiss Reuge cylinder music box in excellent working condition. This music box has a 72 note pinned cylinder mechanism. This Music Box plays beautifully and the cylinder shifts effortlessly through the three tunes.

This is a most magnificent vintage music box. Each note plays loud and crisp in perfect pitch with a phenomenal tone and resonance. The 72 note mechanism sounds like a beautiful Piano Concert and has the full range of a Piano keyboard. This music box will fill the entire room with music to be enjoyed by any discerning ear. This type of music box will play open or closed and plays for a very long time on a single winding. It is key wound from the bottom.

This mechanism is housed in an extremely elegant hardwood case. The hinged cover is beautifully inlaid with flowers and musical instruments in various hardwoods. It is inlaid on a gorgeous zebra grained Rosewood. The case was produced by the talented Sorrento Craftsman. I have shown quite a few close-ups in the photos of the natural wood graining that make up the cover.

The fine movement is covered by a glass dust shield. This exquisite movement was made in Switzerland by Reuge and it plays wonderfully. T is no damage to any parts of the mechanism. The only thing to note is a few dark spots on the cylinder. The three tunes you will be able to listen to and enjoy from this music box are music box classics. They are labeled on the vintage Reuge tune card on the inside of the lid. The tune card is very clean with no stains or tears and is marked on the bottom 3/72. T is a harp slide switch on the front that allows you to play all three songs continuously or to stop after one song is played.
