The lid has a slight area where residue from glue may have been and it has a few very small scratches. The box however plays beautifully. The bottom the part you wind has some patina or discoloration on it. It is marked REUGE MUSIC and "Made in Switzerland" is stamped or carved into the wood just beneath the screw on the bottom towards the back. This box is clearly well used and definitely needs some TLC. But it works, as I said, very well. The hinge and the corner joints are all secure. There are some dings and minor imperfections in the finish but no chips of any kind I could see... Unless you count the ding which is about a 1/16 to 1/8 inch circle on the front top edge about an inch from the right. If you need additional photographs, please send me a message. We are not experts on music boxes or anything else for that matter, but we know quality when we see it.
