This is a M1860 Army Revolver which was used by both Union and Confederate forces. These legendary cap and ball revolvers are full size (14") and weigh a hefty 2.8 lbs. The loading lever, hammer, trigger and cylinder action work like the rare, expensive originals. Manufactured with real wood grips, in gun metal blued barrel and simulated brass frame finishes.
Preserving Cultural Heritage This handsome reproduction weapon is made by craftsman working on the island of Ciutadella de Menorca, off the coast of Spain. Specializing in replicas of weaponry dating from Roman times to present day, these reproductions are extremely accurate and are created only after exhaustive research. Based on actual weapons from museums and private collections, the attention to every detail is what makes this reproduction weapon stand out. They are made with polished European hardwood, high grade casting alloy and zinc cast metal; the finish replicates the patina that develops over time with the use of the weapon. You'll find replicas in our collection of some of the most famous weapons in history, including weapons used by George Washington, Napoleon, King Richard the Lionhearted, ancient pieces from Rome and many historical weapons from the American West. The lock-actions on the firearms are fully functional; in most cases, the screws heads are molded into the metal and cannot be removed. These models are completely safe and cannot be made to fire real ammunition. They cannot withstand misuse or excessive dry-firing. Your replica weapon comes fully assembled and ready for display in your home or office. Weight: 5.00
