This auction is for a very special one of a kind hand painted Bichon Frise Rhea eggshell art.

This eggshell is from the Rhea bird, this egg is 15 inches around the longest part. Rhea shells are similar to Emu eggshell but come in cream color and have thick hard shells like an Ostrich egg. .

The Franklin mint stand is stamped on the bottom TFM.

The egg features an lovely Bichon Frise portrait the stands out against the black background. The portrait is framed by a twisted gold cording and Swarovski crystal rhinestone chain, with a larger scaloped gold trim.on the outside. Martha Sterwart clear German glitter glass sparkles inbetween the gold trims. On the back of the egg I've added elegant looking metal decals. On the top of the egg their is a a pretty rhinestone finding and gold mesh bow with another rhinestine center and two vintage butterflies. A Swarovski crystal heart dangles on the side of the egg and sparkles when the light catches it. The color of the egg is a light gold with a pearlized glaze and two additional coat of iredescent gold glaze. Many hours went into to making the heirloom piece.

I've added a photo of a Yorkie Rhea egg to give you an idea of the size of the egg. The egg in the photo next to the Yorkie egg is a jumbo chicken egg.
