This is an original RIAA Gold Record Award, not a reproduction. It is in great condition! � Size 17"x21". This RIAA Gold Record Award was presented to Atco Records for the LP Album "Fresh Cream". This was the debut studio album of the British rock group "Cream" with Eric Clapton. It was released originally on December 9, 1966 by Reaction Records, a new "independent" label in the UK, by producer Robert Stigwood as his first LP release. It was released a month later in the US in January 1967 by Atco Records with the same producer. In 2003 the album was ranked number 101 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time". "Cream" is widely recognized as the world's first successful supergroup. � According to rock critic Dave Marsh, "Cream" created "the fastest, loudest, most overpowering blues-based rock ever heard, particularly onstage". Though they only lasted two years, "Cream" sold more than 15 million records and spawned many power trios, boogie bands, and heavy metal groups. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. They were included in both Rolling Stone's and VH1's lists of "The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time".
