RICH 112 GRAM CHUNK OF COLORADO GOLD AND SILVER ORE! Hello and Welcome! Up for Auction we have a Beautiful piece of Rich Gold and Silver ore from the Buckskin Joe mine in the South Park Region of Colorado! The Buckskin Joe was one of the Largest and Richest Lode mines in the region before it's closure in the early 1900's, and Produced Several Million Dollars in Gold and Silver. Prior to the Leadville Strike, Buckskin Gulch and Nearby Alma were also the leading Placer Gold producers in the area, thanks to the erosion of the Phillips Material and the Glacio-Fluvial processes that carved the Valley. Originally Discovered by one Joseph Higgenbottom (aka Buckskin Joe), the Property was later sold to settle a Whisky Tab. The buyer, a Mr. Phillips, realized the true potential of the Lode and the Mine Flourished. This particular Piece is a Textbook Example of the Main Ore body of the mine, Extremely Complex and Aesthetic! This piece consists of a section of Quartzite that has been shot Through with Gold Bearing Metallic Deposits.
