PLEASE NOTE: This is a SEVEN DAY AUCTION and ENDS SUNDAY, February, 10th. Please check our other art/photography books and rarer postcards that are selling the same night.
DESCRIPTION: You are bidding on a rare signed early exhibition catalogue by Richard Misrach. This quarto-sized, stiff illustrated wrappers, exhibition catalogue was beautifully published in 1979 by the Grapestake Gallery, San Francisco, CA. At this time in his ongoing career, Richard Misrach was exploring photographing the desert at night. These toned black and white photographs were made with a flash and feature beautiful, yet eerie images of cacti, boulders and palm trees. This early selection of original work is presented completely without text (even the pages are not numbered); all bibliographic information is printed only on the binding of the book. SIGNED "Richard Misrach - 13/100". CONDITION: This autographed hard bound catalogue is in excellent condition. Only the slightest shelf wear. Pages are bright white. This rare book came out of a smoke-free home. FINAL NOTES: The scan below looks good on my monitor, but the actual book is much nicer in person. Keep in mind, we DO NOT accept PAYPAL. To our OVERSEAS BUYERS, postage for this book will be $10.00. Cash or international bank checks made out in US funds, are the only way that overseas buyers can pay for our auction items. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN YOU BID! Thanks and good luck! Also, I send out invoices the next day. If you do not receive an email from me by Wednesday, it probably means your server has blocked my email. If I don't hear from you, I will contact you through eBay.....thanks! The cover image on this book is a separate thin image that was glued to the front white boards. I always thought it was printed directly onto the front cover. My mistake. Please ignore my response below. It is not "tipped", but attached flat to the front cover.
