These Original Young Voters Posters are selling on the internet and other publications for $15 each - they are very tough to find! To appeal to the young voter , Nixon made a major effort with campaign posters and buttons all coordinated by young volunteers. He had to do something to attract the young vote because the Democratic candidate was George McGovern, a Vietnam peace candidate. Many of the younger voters objected to the Vietnam War so Mc Govern got their vote. Nixon on the other hand had to convey to the young voters that he also was very interested in a peaceful settlement in Vietnam . In addition, he also laid out all his accomplishments that benefited the young voters during his first administration. These 2 large posters fold into a brochure that then explain specific issues brought forward by each poster. Each brochure unfolds to a poster 22" x 34". The 2 posters and the issues are: 1) The environment - the poster is a picture of Richard and Pat Nixon walking a beach.
