For sale is a letter hand signed by former president Richard Nixon concerning the death of his mother, just 19 days before. The letter is in excellent condition, with three horizontal folds, not affecting the signature. The letter is a thank you letter, addressed to one of his mother's friends. The letter is signed "Dick Nixon." The letter comes with a Certificate of Authenticity executed by Michael McKinney, who is a member of the UACC, the IACC, and the Manuscript Society. President Richard Nixon was the 37th president of the United States. Though his legacy is much maligned by his limited involvment in the cover up of the break in of the Democratic Headquarters at the Watergate in Washington, D.C., his administration boasts many acheivements. Years after being defeated by him in the 1972 Presidential Election, his opponent, George McGovern, stated that, but for his continuation of the Vietnam War, Nixon's presidency will go down in history as one of the most successful.
