For sale is my Rickenbacker 325v59 complete with the original Rickenbacker case. The Rickenbacker 325V59 is a vintage reissue of the guitar John Lennon bought in Hamburg 1960. This reissue is no longer made by Rickenbacker, although a similar one ( the 325C58) currently retails at around £3000. The new model features the original Kaufmann Vibrato tailpiece, which John had replaced with a Bigsby, which is featured on the 325 V59.I've been advised that these are quite rare now and that one in mint condition is worth in excess of £1800. My one, although in very good condition, can not be described as mint. It was a proper gigging guitar and was used extensively throughout the mid - late 90s. For the past 12 years it has been on my wall in my studio unplayed and it is becoming increasingly more difficult being able to justify having such a lovely guitar doing nothing!Although it is not in mint condition, it is in good nick. The chrome could do with a good clean and the chrome on the bridge cover and some of the pickup covers have some pitting.The strings are shot to bits and need replacing. I've not replaced them as whoever buys this will probably want to get all the strings off anyway to give the guitar a good clean and polish.
