Beautiful, hand-painted 9" plate by Ridgway, c.1830-1835. Cobalt blue, green, gold and rose on a light blue ground. Detailed scalloped rims with four areas of raised flowers. The plate has the number 57 hand-painted on the back, either the pattern number or artist's mark. The plate has age-related crazing, light surface wear and minor gold and/or enamel loss, all of which is typical of plates this old.
