Here is a lovely Mercury Helmet made for the 1983 film The Right Stuff. Excellent example of a copy of the helmet worn on the Nasa Mercury Missions. Appears to be fiberglass with metal parts and a plexiglass visor on an aluminum frame. This has been in my collection since the year 2000 so. This fits me pretty well, and I have a huge head, so its a wearable prop. There is a cast resin valve assembly on the right cheek that the bears the mark of the company that made these for the film "GEI" with the letters "HM-022" or "HAA-0A2" or something. This helmet appears to be one of the ones used for the scene where the Mercury Seven all come walking out in their silver spacesuits in a group shot, not the face closeups in the cockpit which used real helmets of later manufacture than the Mercury Missions. Great for your own personal NASA museum or sci-fi movie shoot. NOT FUNCTIONAL PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. RESERVE IS $1000, thanks
