THIS AUCTION IS FOR A RIVAROSSI, 2-8-8-2 MALLET, NORFOLK & WESTERN # 2197 ( N&W ) N Scale. Very Slightly used and excellent condition, N SCALE. This Norfolk & Western Mallet Locomotive Cab # 2197 is very slightly used and is in excellent condition, as it has been stored in a display case in a smoke free, pet free, air conditioned home for the last several years. This locomotive is a great runner and features Micri-Trains operating knuckle couplers on the front of the locomotive, metal side rods with metal drive wheels, 16 articulated wheel drive, and being articulated it can negioate small radius curves with ease, has 4 traction tires and has the power and weight to pull a long freight train or a long coal train with ease, has an operating head light, there are no broken steps or handrails or missing parts. This locomotive also has a perfect front pilot as can be seen by the closeup picture of the front pilot assemble. The matching N&W Mallet tender has Micro-Trains operating knuckle coupler on the back end of the tender, and there are no broken or missing steps on the tender. This locomotive and tender comes in its original Rivarossi jewel box. This rare locomotive would make a great addition to any N scale layout.
