Beautiful, HO scale Rivarossi Union Pacific 4-8-8-4 "Big Boy" Locomotive with Centipede Coal Tender in Very Good Overall Condition in Original Box . Road # 4013. Made in Italy. Take a look at the photos (enlarged) and see what you think. (Pardon any camera flash reflection.) Loco has been run. Loco has been upgraded/re-motored with a Japanese Sagami micro motor (see 10th photo for inside cab close-up) . Loco was test-run by me on a short section of straight track, and it ran in both directions. However, it ran much smoother in reverse while sometimes sputtering/stalling in forward. It may just need a good lube & oil but will definitely need some kind of maintenance to run as well as it should. I'll leave that to the winning bidder to figure out. Loco is being sold "As Is", of course, so please ask any questions before bidding! Headlight works. As can be seen in last 2 photos, a ll the silver metal wheels on the locomotive & tender show moderate wear but are fairly clean. I cleaned the wheels myself, for optimal electrical pick-up. The tender does not utilize electrical pick-ups. (The loco will run without the tender.) The obvious flaws that I see are: missing the pilot railings (see 6th & 7th photos) & the cab handrails, and next to bottom rung on rear tender steps is cracked but complete (see 5th photo).
