The painting is a fine example of the artist's work. The painting is in very fine condition, the paper unmarked, the colours unfaded. The painting is presented in a modern frame and mount, the frame with minor imperfections. The painting is signed lower right. Frederick Hines was a landscape painter in watercolours, the brother of the artist Theodore Hines. Hines had addresses in London and Essex and exhibited prolifically from 1880 - 1897 including 13 works at the Royal Academy. Hine's work realises many hundreds of pounds at auction.
