Riverboat game box used for the game of crown and anchor, compartments with wicker baskets edged in velvet for the different colored markers, 3 large dice are marked with the crown and anchor that give the game its name, similar to the one pictured in the Time Life book The Gamblers on page 59, comes with tintype of an early gambling dude taken at Le Roy s, 78 Water Street, Newburgh, NY that was found in this Very Rare game box, c.1870-1880, VG to Exc. condition, 2 H x 12 W x 9.5 D.
