I purchased this lamp quite a few years back from a period lighting dealer [ebay seller 'hjboo'], and am putting it up for sale, as I'm about to move. It is unsigned Riviere Studios table lamp and is in perfect shape, save for one tight crack in the shade panel, detailed in the last photo. As far as I remember from Mr Booher's description, it is completely original. When turned on the base, as well as the shade, is illuminated and the glow from it is nothing short of phenomenal.
If you are looking at this lamp you're probably aware of the fact the same design was used by Tiffany Studios for it's lamps and desk accessories. I suggest you do a Google search in 'images' to see what I'm referring to. The dimensions are as follows: Height 21, shade width 12x12, base width 8x8" with a square finial that's 1.5 inches. The sockets are both marked 'Hubbel' and the chains that hang from them have acorn motif pulls. It does not require any work to it's wiring. About the crack: It is almost impossible to see when the light is off, very difficult to find when the light's on. Because of the lamp's patterned metal work only about 3 inches show on the outside. [The full length of it is only a bit longer, but can only been seen from the underside.] It is not terribly heavy, but I will not pack this myself- It must be packed by a professional to ship. I will charge the buyer only what I am charged for packing and that will be at completion of auction and will include delivery confirmation and appropriate insurance. If purchased by a local buyer and pick up is preferred, I will meet them after payment clears. Paypal only, final sale to be paid at close of auction.
