Up for auction is a highly detailed, wooden replica of White Star Line lifeboat No. 14 from the RMS Titanic. This is an extremely rare piece for your collection!A late relative of mine purchased this lifeboat on eBay in April, 2000. I inherited it, but I don't have the room for it at the moment. The lifeboat measures nearly 34" inches long by 9 7/8" wide and approximately 5" tall mid-ship. When sitting on the wooden base stands, it stands about 5 1/2" tall. After doing some math comparing it to the actual Titanic lifeboats, it appears to be between 1/10 and 1/11 scale of the original. The lifeboat is constructed from wooden planks and features a detachable rudder, brass "Liverpool" nameplates, metal White Star Line emblems, two wooden water barrels, one crate of rations, one crate of first aid supplies, a mast, boom, sail, and a folded tarp. The lifeboat includes 10 mounted oarlocks and 10 hand-carved oars measuring 18 3/8" long each. The lifeboat used to hold several 10" figures that were the likes of people aboard the Titanic on its maiden voyage. I believe I still have them as well if you are interested for a future auction. The boat includes two wooden bases, but it can also be hung from a wall with included hardware designed to resemble lifeboat davits from the RMS Titanic. The metal rods connect the wall-mounted davits to hooks read more
