RMS Windsor Castle, launched by HM Queen mother on Merseyside in 1959. This model was going to be displayed in the ship if the attempt to save her from the breakers was succcessful.But RMS Windsor Castle finally went to the breakers in 2005. This model is in my hands, the model maker. I have a large collection of Union Castle models, and am short on space, so this one is for sale.The scale is 1:200, mostly wood with brass. Some plastic fittings. Brass rails, masts, cranes and detail. It is on a diorama sea base, and a glass case with solid oak frame.The model recently moved with me from South Africa, and survived unscathed. I will use the same, very sturdy crate to transport. The model is not overly fragile, and I have experience in how to transport it safely.Courier service will be for buyer's account. Item is in east Midlands, UK. Dimensions are 1400cms x 310cms x 300 cms approx.
