You are bidding on an original signed letter from Robert F. âeoeBobbyâe Kennedy. The letter on United States Senate letterhead is to a Mrs. William Haines and dated January 12, 1966. This is not my area of expertise as I usually deal in sports memorabilia. I just happened to stumble upon this letter and one from Nelson A. Rockefeller (also listed on eBay) and decided to list them. I donâe(tm)t know anything about historical autographs or their value but from other listings on eBay I see they can be quite valuable. In fact, t was an RFK signed letter recently on eBay with a $3,999 Buy It Now price tag and it was only signed "Bob." Robert F. Kennedy was the younger brother of former President John F. Kennedy who was assassinated in 1963. Robert F. Kennedy served as U.S. Attorney General from 1961 to 1964 and became a U.S. Senator from the State of New York in 1965. During 1968 he announced his candidacy for the Presidency and was assassinated on June 6, 1968 at the age of 42. The letter is in excellent condition and reads: Dear Mrs. Haines, I am very pleased to hear that you were successful in your efforts to obtain sidewalks for the Bevier Street and Front Street overpasses. The work of your committee has been instrumental in improving safety conditions in Binghamton . I hope you will let me know if I can be of further assistance.
