We bought a box of these rings from the estate of a gentlemen affiliated with the company that produced them in the 1970s. The rings we are selling have never been out of their original boxes and are NEW OLD STOCK! We will be selling them at a buy it now price until they are all gone. GREAT GIFTS AND/OR OPPORTUNITY FOR A VINTAGE STORE TO STOCK UP.Exquisite costume jewelry ring. The classic Robert Indiana LOVE sign. A pop art beauty that is absolutely fabulous! This decorative treasure measures 2/4 of an inch square at the footprint and stands approx. 1/4 of an inch off the finger. All of these ring are a jewelers size 7.Robert Indiana was born in 1928. He settled in New York and worked with other important NYC painters such as Kelly, Smith, and Youngerman. He was inspired by grets such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jim Dine and Jasper Johns. In NY his works can be seen at The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), the Whitney, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET). Indiana's best known image is the word "LOVE" in a square with a tilted "O". This image was first created for a Christmas card for the Museum of Modern Art in 1964. A Robert Indiana LOVE painting sold at Sothebys in 2006 for over $500,000. The ring is for both
