Rare German-made ca. 1968 Robot Star precision camera (film, 35mm) with custom lens probably Carl Zeiss Jena. The lens is unmarked because it was a special order for the MfS, designed to be hidden behind a wall with the front end of the lens sticking out. Manual: /pdf_files/robot_star.pdf . These cameras were used by the KGB and the East German State Security (MfS) as trap cameras up until the mid 80-ies. The mechanical winder can be wound up by hand and camera can then be triggered remotely with a mechanical wire trigger and take 30 - 40 photos. Mechanically and optically fully functional. There is some white residue from a sticker next to the Robot Label on the front. I was there since I bought the camera in 1991 so I left it. It can be rubbed off with some sticker remover.
