Rock Island Railroad Uniform Service Insignia Badges You are bidding on a what I believe are Service Bars / Badges for the old Chicago and Rock Island Railroad. Most of the bars have "ROCK ISLAND" marked on them, only one of the has "C.P. Service" on it. C. P. Service could be for Chicago-Peoria Service by Rock Island's Talgo Jet Rocket in the 1950s. The insignia is all screwback. I took a few off and they are unmarked on the back. They may be sterling or sterling plate and the gold ones may be gold plated, but they are not marked as such. See the pictures each little bar is 3/4 inches across by 1/4 inch wide. T is a total five (5) silver "Rock Island" bars and two (2) gold bars one marked "Rock Island" & one marked "C.P. Service". The star is embroidered using a gold bullion thread. I do not know the age or exact purpose of these items. They came to me in a big lot of military items and I can use any help you can provide in pinning down what these are for. I will post any useful information you can provide along with this listing. Please note two of the bars are missing one screwback each. (Please look at pictures before bidding). Thanks for Looking and good luck bidding.
