Roco Catalogue #43539 is a HO DC gauge model of a Swiss Federal Railways (SBB-CFF)) Electric Locomotive Type #14253...KROKODIL.. It was removed from its box to make the photographs for this auction. It is the brown version.The prototype of this model was first ordered in 1923 due to the growing heavy express traffic in the Arlberg district. This ARTICULATED Electric Locomotive had significant hauling power. The model has four traction tires...so the model reflects the original engine. Thismodel is a part of a large collection that I have been asked to sell. The owner was a very good and long time friend who was a Master Aircraft Electrician. He treated his models with great care. As such, it is in excellent shape. He had a small layout and actually only ran a small fraction of his models that he kept in plastic storage tubs stacked in a closet. This model would sell for over 270 Euros today. It comes to auction in its original Roco box that shows some storage wear. I can not find anything wrong with this model, but it is sold AS IS.
