Classic Cameras RODENSTOCK 48cm f6.3 HELIGONAL DROPPEL-ANASTIGMAT BLACK PAINTED ALLUMINIUM BARREL LENS WITH IRIS DIAPHRAGM Large format lens from a famous German manufacture; Rodenstock lenses offers exceptional high quality and was well renowned by descending photographers the world over. This example on offer is the 48cm f6.3 Heligonal Droppel-Anastigmat . Coverage would be for formats to 10x8 and over. The aperture ranged from f6.3 to f88 and set in a multi-bladed iris diaphragm. The lens measures approx 11.25cm long and has a rear flange mounting of 11.5cm wide (not included). The lens is in average/good used condition, the barrel shows major paint wear and light ageing – there is one slight indent on front rim, otherwise clean looking. Optically, the glass is clean, but there are a few tiny bubbles and one light surface scratch on front glass. The aperture is nice and even across the range and the iris blades looks good – but there are light oil residues apparent. (A good lens all-round). Serial No.6328.
