Vintage Silverplate Complete 8 pl sets + Serving Pieces

In this lot we offer a fifty-two ( 52 ) piece silver plate flatware set in the popular and very collectible First Love pattern which was introduced in 1937. Production of this pattern was discontinued in 1973. This vintage set is complete with 8 place settings (including 8 extra teaspoons) plus serving pieces. The storage chest is included.

Individual descriptions of the pieces included in this lot are as follows: 8 Dinner Knives - 9 1/4 inches long, silverplate hollow handle, modern stainless blade
8 Dinner Forks - each fork is 7 3/4 inches long w/5 inch handle (not grille forks)
8 Salad or Dessert Forks - 6 3/4 inches long w/diamond slot in center tines
8 Place/Oval Soup Spoons - each spoon is 7 3/8 inches long
16 Teaspoons - 6 1/8 inches long
2 Serving Spoons (Tablespoons) - 8 1/2 inches long
1 Sugar Spoon - 6 inches long
1 Master Butter Knife - 6 3/4 inches long w/flat handle
1 Flatware chest - 17 x 11.5 x 3.75 inches - holds service for 12 plus servers
Also included is the original advertising card that came with the set (please see picture below) The Dinner Forks, Salad Forks, Teaspoons, Soup Spoons, and Butter Knife are marked on the backs of the handles 1847 ROGERS BROS IS First Love . The Sugar Spoon and Table Serving Spoons are marked 1847 ROGERS BROS IS . The knives are marked only on the blades: Stainless .
The pieces in this set have been hand cleaned and polished. All pieces are in good condition. They show minimal to normal use wear . No plate loss or heel resting wear on any of them. No dents or dings on the hollow handles. NO monogram!
The chest has 12 slots for knives in the lid and 10 slots in the bottom for storing spoons, forks, and serving pieces. It has a light purple/burgundy interior lining. The silver foil sticker label is intact at the back on the bottom section. It has 1847 ROGERS BROS. stamped on the top edge of the lid (please see photos below). The lining shows some wear, but it is clean and in okay condition. The exterior of box has some scratches and scuffs. The hinges seem to be strong and in good working order.

This beautiful antique silverplate First Love Flatware Set will be a nice one to use and a great addition any collection.
