Here is a virtually MINT blue transfer historical Staffordshire creamer, made by John Rogers & Son, c. 1825-30, showing a view of Beacon Hill, The Boston Commons, and in the center the famous Boston State House. This creamer, measuring 4.5 inches high and 6 inches long from handle to spout, we are calling version #4 of the Rogers' depiction of this structure. Note that the cows are set off to the side and in front of the rest of the buildings on the Boston Commons, rather than in front of the State House. It is not merely a piecing of the transfer, but appears to be from a different copper plate altogether. This is one of three views with the "Man with Wheelbarrow." I have provided another of those views to show you how this creamer is quite different in the placement of various features. It is the plate shown which is NOT FOR SALE HERE. This creamer is impressed on the bottom ROGERS with a sideways 8 or S beneath it. Except for the shown minor tight hairline on the bottom of the handle, this creamer is MINT. The handle is solid and firm. No other problems with this piece.
