Very nice and unusual antique oak roll top desk with the original matching chair and pull out leather writing surface (see pictures). The desk has a locking mechanism (see pictures) which allows you to lock the roll top and 6 drawers with the skeleton key which is included. The pull out leather writing surface allows you 8 more inches writing surface and according to one antique appraiser is a rare feature not often found in roll top desks. The desk measures 44”H, 55”wide and 28’ D with leather writing service pushed in or 36” D with the leather writing service pulled out. The desk top is mounted on two pedestals that contain the desk drawers and the roll top easily lifts off from the pedestals for easy transportation, no tools are needed. The roll top desk features raised oak panels on the side and on the back side of each pedestal. The matching chair is in great shape and features and iron base that allows the chair to be adjusted up and down and will allow you to also lean back. The chair is on casters and rolls along easily. This antique desk and chair features its original finish (see pictures) and the desk is used at our house as a place where we do our bills. This desk would look great in a den, foyer, guest room, bed room or as a unique computer work station. Very low reserve for this beautiful antique desk and chair.
