Roman Silver Denarii, Roman Emperor Septimius Severus (A.D. 212-217) from Pristina Hoard deposited 225 A.D. most likely a military payroll for one of the Roman Armies in illyricum. it was found in the former state of Yugoslavia, and came to market in 1979. The majority of the coins in this Hoard are of the Severan Dynasty including Emperors Septimius Severus, Caracalla, Elagabalus, Severus Alexander, and some of more worn condition dating all the way back to Nero. The folder the Denarii comes in talks about the history of the Roman Emperor Septimius Severus, the history of the Pristina Hoard. and as you can see from the photo's, the signature of the senior Numismatist that determined the coins are genuine Silver Denarii from the Pristina Hoard and is over 1750 years old.
