Circa 200-400 A.D. tripod amphora of deep amethyst color with two applied handles, pinched feet, and a spiral twist neck and rolled rim, found in Samaria, from Moshe Dayan's collection, in custom fitted box with autographed identification tag, 4 1/2''H x 1 1/4''DIA, one half of the top lip has been rejoined. The tripod pinched legs are an unusual variation on this form. From the Collection of Irving Bernstein, former Exec. Dir of the United Jewish Appeal.
