An original ticket to the Palazzetto dello sport or Small Sports Stadium at the Rome Olympics, September 7 1960. The XVIIth Summer Olympics were held August 25th - September 11th 1960. 83 countries sent 5346 athletes. This was the first internationally televised event, held in the same city w the games had been abolished 16 centuries earlier by the Emperor Theodose. of the seven weght classes at the 1960 Olympics Weightlifting Event, five of them awarded Gold to the USSR, The USSR and the USA were neck and neck at 6 each for the medal count, but the USSR won 5 Gold and 1 Silver to the US's 1 Gold 4 Silver and 1 Bronze. The heavyweight division was won by Russian Writer, Politician and Intellectual Yury Vlasov. ◊◊◊◊◊ Condition Details: 8.66 x 3.75 inches. light creases, not sharp.
