Offered for sale is a beautiful art pottery ewer or pitcher by Rookwood. This ewer features beautiful daisies on a light background shading from light brown to light green. This ewer measures 5.25 inches in height and approximately 3.5 inches across the handle. This ewer is in great condition with a fine and uniform overall crazing. T are no chips or cracks. On the base (underside) of this piece, t is a small pottery loss to the unglazed portion of the vase that undoubtedly occurred during manufacture. This is mentioned only for absolute accuracy. This vase is signed with the Rookwood mark on the base. I believe that it dates from 1893 (7 flame marks). This vase is also signed by H. Pabodie Stuntz, who worked at Rookwood for a short time beginning in 1892. I believe that it is his mark, but it is a little hard to discern. Please see the picture.
